Nalgonda native is first woman bus driver in Delhi

New Delhi, April 18: A native of Nalgonda in Telangana state, Vankadarath Saritha, is reported to have became the first woman to become a Delhi Transport Corporation bus driver. After driving autorickshaws and BMWs, the 30-year-old Saritha has been posted to the Sarojini Nagar DTC depot. She will be assigned a day-time duty at a route in the central Delhi region. Saritha had completed a 28-day-long training session Saritha is said to have responded to a Delhi government advertisement. Five candidates had turned up for the tests. Of the five, Saritha was the only one who was found medically fit. Saritha already has a HTV driving license that was issued by RTA at Nalgonda.
