Court orders declaration of MAA president poll result

Hyderabad, April 15, 2015: The city civil court of Hyderabad on Wednesday dismissed the petition filed by small time movie artiste Kalyan seeking cancellation of the MAA ( Movie Artistes Association) president election. Dismissing the petition, the court said that MAA authorities can now count the votes polled in the election to MAA president. Senior actors Jayasudha and Rajendra Prasad contested for the post of President the election of which was marred by allegations and counter allegations between the two groups. With the court giving green signal for counting of the votes polled, the results will be declared on Friday or Saturday. The court imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 on the petitioner Kalyan for approaching the court with a frivolous cause and wasting its time.
