HC orders murder case against police involved in Seshachalam encounter

Hyderabad, April 10, 2015: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad on Friday ordered filing of murder case under Section 302 of IPC against the policemen who were involved in the reported encounter of red sanders wood cutters in Seshachalam forests four days ago. The HC orders followed a petition filed by the wife of one of the slain wood cutters in the encounter. The petitioner is from Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu. Arguing for the wife of the killed woodcutter Sasikumar, the counsel said the body bore some cuts apart from the bullet wounds. "There were also some remnants of chemicals on the body," the counsel contended. The court deferred for Monday further hearing on the petition.
