This Is a Divine Decision, Says Nandamuri Balakrishna
Renowned actor and Hindupur legislator Nandamuri Balakrishna has received yet another prestigious honor. The Government of Telangana has selected him for the NTR National Award, a recognition he personally announced while expressing his heartfelt gratitude.
Speaking on the occasion, Nandamuri Balakrishna said, “At a time when we have just concluded the grand celebrations marking Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s centenary, when we are observing the 75-year Amritotsavam of his cinematic journey, and when I myself have completed 50 years as an actor, receiving this award is something I consider a divine decision and a blessing from my father, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.”
He further remarked, “This honor from the Telangana Government comes soon after I was conferred the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. I consider myself fortunate and blessed by my father for being selected for the NTR National Award at such an auspicious time.”
Nandamuri Balakrishna extended special thanks to the Telangana Government, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and the award jury for selecting him for such a distinguished recognition. He added, “I sincerely wish that the blessings of Telugu people around the world, the grace of my father, and the divine blessings of the Almighty always remain with me.”
Recently, Nandamuri Balakrishna was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. Now, being chosen for the NTR National Award—instituted in the name of his father by the Telangana Government—marks another significant milestone in his cinematic journey. The announcement has been met with joy by Nandamuri fans and members of the Telugu film industry.
