Manchu Manoj Apologises to Mega Fans on Behalf of Director

Actor Manchu Manoj became visibly emotional during the pre-release event of his upcoming film Bhairavam. The event took place yesterday, ahead of the film’s scheduled release on the 30th of this month. In light of ongoing criticism and online discourse surrounding the film's director Vijay Kanakamedala, Manchu Manoj extended an apology to Mega fans. He shared his heartfelt sentiments during the event, which was also attended by actors Nara Rohit and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, who play key roles in the film. Directors Anil Ravipudi and Sampath Nandi were present as chief guests.

Manchu Manoj addressed the reports that Vijay Kanakamedala had posted controversial content online. “Vijay is a dedicated professional, someone who helps others and holds deep admiration for Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan,” said Manchu Manoj. “I don’t know whether the post attributed to him is genuine. I understand the pain of being isolated when everyone turns against you. Vijay might not react much when strangers criticise him, but seeing Mega fans — whom he considers family — speak against him is unbearable. If that post has caused any discomfort, I sincerely apologise on behalf of our team,” he stated, appealing for support from Mega fans for the film.

Manchu Manoj also voiced concern over caste-based remarks in the film industry. “There are rumours suggesting this film is a collaboration of people from a specific community. A film does not belong to any single group. Art respects only talent. For us, the cinema theatre is our temple. Who is Suriya? Where did he come from? Telugu audiences embrace anyone with genuine talent. That is the greatness of our industry,” he said. He emphasized that producers invest in talent and hard work, not in an actor’s background. “A mother treats all her children equally. Similarly, cinema is like a mother to us, and we are all equal before her. Please don’t bring such issues into the industry,” he urged.

Marking his return to the silver screen after nearly nine years, Manchu Manoj reflected on his journey. He credited his team, including his security staff, drivers, and household helpers, for supporting him through life’s ups and downs. He expressed gratitude to his loyal fans for standing by him. Emphasizing that Bhairavam is a collective effort, he requested blessings for the film. He also shared his joy over the strengthened bond with Nara Rohit and Sai Sreenivas during the making of the film, and praised producer Radha Mohan for believing in all three lead actors and backing the project.
