Reliance Jio Introduces Two Budget Plans Without Data
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recently directed all telecom operators to offer affordable recharge plans that include voice calling and SMS services for the benefit of users. In response to this directive, Reliance Jio has introduced two budget-friendly prepaid plans that focus solely on calling and SMS, without offering any data benefits.
Reliance Jio designed these new plans specifically for users who require only voice and text services and do not rely on mobile data. The first plan is priced at ₹458 and offers 84 days of validity, while the second plan costs ₹1,958 and comes with a full-year validity of 365 days. Both plans come with additional user benefits.
The ₹458 plan provides users with unlimited voice calling across all networks within India, 1,000 free SMS messages, and free national roaming. Additionally, subscribers will receive complimentary access to Jio’s suite of apps such as JioCinema and JioTV.
The ₹1,958 plan is a long-term prepaid plan that offers 365 days of validity. This plan includes unlimited voice calls across all Indian networks, 3,600 free SMS messages, and free national roaming services. Users also get complimentary access to JioCinema and JioTV.
In conjunction with the rollout of these new plans, Reliance Jio has discontinued two of its previous recharge offerings: the ₹479 and ₹1,899 plans. The ₹1,899 plan had provided users with 336 days of validity and 24GB of data, while the ₹479 plan came with 84 days of validity and 6GB of data.
