Shivakarthikeyan Congratulates Indian Army with ‘Amaran’ Film Dialogue
Tamil actor Shivakarthikeyan has praised the Indian Army’s success in Operation Sindoor, a strategic offensive against terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Recalling a powerful dialogue from his acclaimed film Amaran, the actor lauded the bravery and resolve of the armed forces. His statement has gained notable attention amid a wave of public commendation for the military's decisive action.
On Wednesday, Shivakarthikeyan posted on social media platform X, saying, "#OperationSindoor – This is the true face of the Indian Army! Jai Hind." In Amaran, a film based on the life of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, Shivakarthikeyan portrayed the role of the Major. The film features a scene where Major Mukund declares to a terrorist leader, “This is the true face of the Indian Army,” moments before neutralizing him. The actor reiterated this line to honor the recent military operation.
The Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor in response to a gruesome terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, carried out by Pakistan-sponsored militants. The attack resulted in the deaths of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen.
The Army announced that the operation specifically targeted nine terror infrastructure facilities being utilized by militants. It emphasized that the strikes were limited in scope, focused solely on terrorist elements, and conducted with considerable restraint. It further clarified that no Pakistani military installations were attacked, and every effort was made to prevent escalation.
