Hyderabad: Starting October 24, government primary and high school students in Telangana will receive a nutritious breakfast through the "Chief Minister's Breakfast" (Mukhyamantri Alpahara) scheme, initiated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as a Dasara gift. The program, costing around Rs. 400 crore annually, reflects the government's commitment to student well-being. It aims to improve concentration and overall educational experiences, especially for economically disadvantaged students. The decision was influenced by the difficulties faced by parents engaged in early morning agricultural work in providing nutritious meals. Following a study of a similar Tamil Nadu scheme, it will now encompass high school students as well.
