Tamil Nadu's Sports Minister, Udayanidhi Stalin, has sparked a debate with his recent comments about Sanatana Dharma. Various groups, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, have expressed their dissatisfaction with his statements. A lawyer named Vineet Jindal, who practices in the Supreme Court, has taken the matter to the Delhi Police, claiming that Udayanidhi's remarks were offensive and disrespectful towards Sanatana Dharma. Jindal has urged the police to take legal action against Udayanidhi, alleging that the comments caused distress to his religious beliefs. In his complaint, Jindal mentioned that during a program, Minister Udayanidhi compared Sanatana Dharma to a mosquito, likening it to diseases like Corona and Malaria. Despite having taken an oath on the constitution as both an MLA and a minister, Udayanidhi emphasized the importance of treating all religions equally. However, Jindal's complaint asserts that Udayanidhi's words were meant to belittle a religion, raising concerns about religious sensitivity and respect.
