The Telangana government organized a grand valedictory event for the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Independent India at the HiCC convention centre in Hyderabad today (Friday). The event featured cultural programs that showcased the spirit of India's freedom struggle and highlighted Telangana state's development. During his address, Chief Minister KCR spoke about commemorating the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reflecting on the history of India's freedom struggle during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Last year, the Telangana government conducted a 15-day celebration to educate the new generations about the country's history and ideals of freedom. KCR expressed happiness over the enthusiastic participation of Telangana's people in various programs. He also praised the State Information and Public Relations and Education departments for their outstanding work, especially in arranging for 30 lakh students to watch the Mahatma Gandhi movie. Highlighting the significance of India's cultural heritage, KCR emphasized that the country has been instrumental in shaping mankind's evolution, spiritual philosophy, high civilization, and traditions.
