India is gearing up to celebrate its 77th Independence Day this coming Tuesday, August 15, and Prime Minister Modi is asking the citizens to join the '#HarGharTiranga movement.' This movement encourages Indians to change their social media profile pictures to the Indian tri-color flag. PM Modi himself changed his display picture to the Indian flag on Sunday, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) followed suit. But changing the profile picture can lead to losing the blue verification tick on social media websites, according to the updated rules. This blue tick shows that the account is verified and takes about three to four days to get back after a review. Interestingly, PM Modi's account didn't lose the grey tick, which is for government officials, when he changed his profile picture. BCCI is also expected to get back the blue tick before the Indian cricket team's next match in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup.
