Jharkhand: A tragic incident in Giridih district, Jharkhand, resulted in the death of three people, with 24 others sustaining injuries after a bus fell into the Barakar river from a bridge on Saturday night. According to the police, the accident occurred around 8.40 pm on the Giridih Dumri Road while the bus was en route from Ranchi to Giridih. Rescue and relief operations are currently underway, making it difficult to ascertain further details, as stated by Giridih sub-divisional police officer, Anil Kumar. Giridih civil surgeon, Dr SP Mishra, confirmed the death of three individuals, while 24 others have been injured in the unfortunate incident. Jharkhand's chief minister, Hemant Soren, expressed that the district administration and police are actively involved in conducting rescue operations. The situation remains critical as authorities strive to provide aid and support to the affected victims.
