Hyderabad: The Telangana government is placing significant emphasis on the medical sector, implementing measures to upgrade government hospitals and construct new healthcare facilities. In a recent cabinet meeting, it was decided to establish eight additional medical colleges in various districts, augmenting the existing ones. Notably, the government is providing essential medical services to the poor through the "T Diagnostics" initiative. Expensive tests are conducted free of cost at government medical labs, benefiting those in need. Addressing emergency healthcare needs, the Telangana government has introduced 466 Amma vodi ambulances and cremation vehicles. In a ceremonial event at Hyderabad People's Plaza, Chief Minister KCR flagged off these vehicles, comprising 204 ambulances (108), 228 Amma vodi vehicles (102), and 34 Harse vehicles. These state-of-the-art vehicles are set to enhance the accessibility and speed of medical services, benefiting the people across the region.
