BJP State President, Daggubati Purandeshwari, expressed her displeasure at the state government for misusing the funds released by the central government as part of allocation of funds to panchayats. She has alleged that the state government is diverting these funds for other purposes. In response to the alleged mishandling of funds, Purandeshwari announced that protests will be organized in support of the Sarpanchs, set to commence from August 10. During her visit to Guntur, Purandeshwari met with leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Sarpanchus Association to discuss the concerning issue. She expressed her frustration, asserting that diverting panchayat funds hinders development and is an unacceptable practice.
