In an act of protest, the priest of Kamalam Mallishwara temple in Anantapur's Kambadur district made a harsh statement by closing the temple doors. The priest, named Manjunatha, took this surprising step to demand the payment of his long pending wages. Speaking out about his distressing situation, he revealed the hardships faced by his family due to the non-payment of salaries for a staggering period of seven months. The Priest has also alleged that the officer responsible for managing the finances has been neglecting the salaries of nine temples, including Kamalam Mallishwara temple. The priest has urged the government to do justice and promptly address the issue and ensure the immediate disbursement of wages.
