Until recently, there have been discussions about Pawan Kalyan's three marriages. However, now a controversy has also arisen about Pawan Kalyan's mother Anjana Devi's caste. Leaders of the YSRCP claimed that Pawan Kalyan's mother belongs to the Relli community but he never mentions about his mother's caste. In response to these comments, the Janasena leader, and mega brother Nagababu, issued a counter-statement. Nagababu mentioned a recent interview where a YSRCP representative discussed Pawan Kalyan's mother's caste on a private channel. Naga Babu stated that "he would like to mention that during the previous elections, his younger brother stated that he identifies himself with the Relli community, as our society has looked down upon the Relli community." In a video, Nagababu expressed pride in being born into the Kapu community and emphasized that everyone should be proud of their own community.
