Tamil Nadu: A horrifying accident occurred in Pattampakkam, Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu on Monday morning, resulting in the loss of four lives and leaving 80 individuals injured. The incident occurred when two speeding private buses collided head-on with each other. According to the police, the collision involved a bus traveling from Cuddalore to Panruti and another bus heading from Panruti to Cuddalore. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus bound for Panruti experienced a tire burst, causing the driver to lose control. Consequently, it collided head-on with the bus approaching from the opposite direction. Tragically, four individuals lost their lives in the collision, while 80 passengers across both buses sustained injuries. Prompt action was taken by a patrol team and local police, who swiftly arrived at the scene and rescued the injured with the assistance of local residents. The injured victims were then rushed to Cuddalore Government General Hospital for treatment.
