Hyderabad: The Telangana government has delivered positive news for its employees, announcing the release of Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners. Minister Harish Rao shared that Chief Minister KCR has made the decision to implement the DA increase, which will be 2.73 percent on the employees' basic pay and pension. The Finance department has issued official orders to implement this DA hike, effective from June onwards, with the increased amount being calculated from January 2022. This development brings good news to approximately 7.28 lakh employees and pensioners who will benefit from the increased DA. Minister Harish Rao mentioned that the DA increment was granted in light of the decade celebrations. However, it is important to note that this increase will place an additional burden of Rs 974.16 crore on the government annually, amounting to a monthly burden of Rs 81.18 crore. Furthermore, the minister highlighted that as per the increased DA, arrears amounting to Rs. 1380 crore
