The much-anticipated release of Om Raut's 'Adipurush' has generated mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. Recently, the film came under scrutiny from renowned actor Arun Govil, famed for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's iconic television adaptation of the Ramayana. Arun Govil, in a recent media interaction, voiced his dissatisfaction with what he perceived as substantial alterations to the classic narrative. He strongly emphasized, "Ramayana is a matter of faith for us and any modification to its original form is not permissible." Further expressing his disappointment, the actor criticised the film's dialogue, voicing his opposition to the use of modern slang within the context of the epic tale. He argued that the language of the Ramayana should maintain a sense of restraint and gravitas, which he felt was lacking in 'Adipurush.'
