Jashwanti Reddy, daughter of AV Subba Reddy, condemned the attack on her father by Akhila Priya, referring to her as a 'dunnapothu' and criticizing her lack of morals. She reminded Akhila that her father had carried her in his arms when she was just a baby. Jashwanti expressed her dismay at the baseless allegations Akhila had leveled against a man who had treated her like family. She said that during scuffeling, her father's shirt was torn and sustained minor injuries. She further stated that condition of her father is well. Jaswanti warned Akhila Priya citing she will pay the price for attack on her father. It is known that Akhila Priya's supporters attacked AV Subba Reddy during Yuvagalam padayatra. Following the incident, the police took Akhila Priya into custody and transferred her to Panyam, where cases were registered against her under various sections of the IPC.
