Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that he will be relocating to Visakhapatnam in September and will begin functioning from there. Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Bhogapuram International Airport in the Vizianagaram District, CM Jagan reiterated that Visakhapatnam is the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh and stated that his move is a part of the state's administrative decentralization efforts. He also defended his decision by saying that Visakhapatnam is not only a big city but also acceptable to all. This is not the first time that CM Jagan has made such a statement. He had previously made similar comments while laying the foundation stone for the Moolapeta Greenfield Port, previously known as Bhavanapadu Port, in the Srikakulam district last month.
