Pro-Khalistan preacher and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh has been arrested by the Punjab police from Moga district and taken to the high-security Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam. The jail had been converted into a high-security facility after some of Singh's associates were brought there. Singh arrived at the Dibrugarh airport at approximately 2:20 pm from Bathinda and has been placed in a special cell with tight security. A team from the Punjab Police is present at the jail along with the Assam Police. According to a report by PTI, the reason for Singh's arrest has not been disclosed yet.
