According to a report from Tv9 Telugu, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, who was recently suspended by the BRS for engaging in anti-party activities, has been approached by the Telangana Congress to join their ranks. A team headed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Ponguleti at his residence and engaged in a six-hour-long discussion. The Congress team suggested that Ponguleti could join their party and help them secure a victory in Khammam. It has been reported that Ponguleti has requested Congress to provide tickets to 10 of his followers. In response, Congress has stated that Ponguleti's supporters will be given priority in nine constituencies, except for Madira. Ponguleti has also asked Congress to provide the cantonment ticket to one of his followers. However, Congress leaders Bhatti Vikramarka and Renuka Choudhary are reportedly dissatisfied with his conditions.
