The YSRCP high command has taken action against four of its MLAs, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, and Undavalli Sridevi, for allegedly engaging in cross-voting during the recently concluded MLA quota MLC elections, which saw the victory of TDP candidate Panchumarthi Anuradha. Although the four MLAs deny the allegations of cross-voting, the party has suspended them. Former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy made some sensational comments in this regard, stating that his brother, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, was wrong in engaging in cross-voting and had betrayed the party by not heeding his advice. Rajamohan Reddy went on to explain that his brother had a problematic attitude from childhood, but after entering politics, he had improved somewhat. He also stated that his younger brother was more active on social media and was more sociable than him. However, Rajamohan Reddy lamented that his brother had recently fallen under the influence of negative forces and had become involved in unsavory activities.
