The government alleges that the Governor has not approved key bills, leading to a long-standing tussle between the two sides. This is not the first time the Telangana government and Governor have clashed. The Governor has previously accused the government of humiliating her and has alleged that her phones were tapped by the ruling BRS party. In turn, the BRS party has accused the central government of harassment through the Governor. The two sides have also clashed over issues such as the Republic Day celebrations and the Budget session.
