According to Atchannaidu, the State President of Telugu Desam, the people of Uttarandhra are not convinced by the government's proposal of having three capitals. He further stated that the recent council elections taught a lesson to Chief Minister Jagan. Atchannaidu praised his party for demonstrating its potential and leading in the region. Atchannaidu criticized the government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for promoting the idea of having three capitals and alleged that the Chief Minister's attitude towards the people of Uttarandhra is unfavorable. He accused the government of creating regional imbalances in the name of having multiple capitals. Atchannaidu claimed that the people of Uttarandhra want development, not multiple capitals. He demanded the YSRCP government to provide employment opportunities to the people of Uttarandhra to prevent migration from the region and to do justice to the poor.
