On Saturday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers and supporters demonstrated in the national capital against Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay for his alleged derogatory comments towards BRS MLC K Kavitha. The BRS leaders condemned Sanjay's remarks and demanded strict action against him. The protests were held in both Hyderabad and New Delhi. At Punjagutta junction, BRS MLA Danam Nagender, along with BRS women corporators from GHMC, led a protest with party leaders. Nagender stated that Sanjay's comments were unacceptable and that they would file complaints in all police stations in the city. He also warned Sanjay to rectify his behavior. In addition to the protests, effigies of Sanjay were burnt in some locations. BRS leaders also held protests at Telangana Bhavan in the national capital and set fire to effigies of Sanjay.
