On Sunday, Telangana's health minister, T Harish Rao, criticized Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for her recent comments regarding the allocation of medical colleges by the central government to the state. The Governor had responded to a Twitter user's query about the number of medical colleges given to Telangana, stating that the state government had failed to apply on time, as indicated by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. She further added, "You sleep and wake up late and ask. TN got 11 medical colleges in a single year." In response to her tweet, Harish Rao pointed out that the central government had only released Rs 156 crores out of the estimated Rs 1365 crores required to complete the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Bibinagar.
