Mumbai is now home to one of the world's largest elevators, located in the Jio World Centre. The elevator, built by Finnish company Kone, has the ability to carry 200 people at once, making it the biggest passenger elevator in Mumbai's city center with a spacious 25.78 square meters of floor space. Weighing in at a hefty 16 tonnes, it also holds the title of the world's heaviest elevator. The Jio World Centre spans over 18.5 acres and this elevator is the centerpiece of the state-of-the-art facility. The centre is also the proud owner of the largest banquet hall, making it ideal for weddings and other large events. According to Nahar, the elevator is especially helpful for wedding processions, as it can comfortably accommodate large groups of people at once. This impressive feat of engineering, along with the other 188 elevators at the Jio World Centre, were all installed by Kone elevators. Amit Gossain, the Managing Director of KONE Elevators,
