Tensions are high in the Annamayya district as TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu visits the Pileru sub jail to meet with party activists who have been recently arrested on alleged false charges. According to TDP members, 11 activists were taken into custody by the police. In order to show his support and encouragement, Chandrababu has called on his party members to gather in Pileru, resulting in over 500 vehicles filled with TDP supporters arriving at the location. TDP leaders have also accused local Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy of attempting to intimidate the opposition through the use of false charges and have issued a warning to him and CM Jagan regarding his administration.
