Chittoor: In a horrifying incident, some unidentified miscreants attacked a couple while they are on their way to their village and killed the husband and escaped with the jewellery of the woman. The incident took place in Peddapanjani Mandal, Chittoor. According to the sources, the deceased identified as Damodhar, a resident of Nekkondi village returned from his mother-in-law's house along with his wife on a motorcycle. It is said that some miscreants attacked the couple and sprinkled chilly powder in the husband's eyes and attacked with sharp-edged weapons. The person died on the spot with severe injuries. Later, the miscreants robbed jewellery from the woman and escaped from the spot. The police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
