RK Roja, the Andhra Pradesh state's tourism minister, claimed that she was the target of purported murder in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. In response to the current political tension between the governing YSRCP, the opposition TDP, and Jana Sena, Ms. RK Roja questioned why Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan's party leaders were waiting with rods, stones and other objects at the airport's departure point rather than greeting him upon his arrival. She claimed that there was a plot to incite the Jana Sena leaders to assault her. According to Roja, the attack on her on the Vizag airport grounds was preplanned. She has expressed grave concern over the incident that resulted in a serious injury to one of her supporters. Ms. Roja has also criticised BJP leader Purandeswari for backing Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, who is accused of acting inappropriately with her father.
