In a separate letter, TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh urged Prime Minister Modi and Agriculture Minister Tomar to conduct a thorough investigation into the state's fictitious DAP and fertiliser scarcity. Reports state that State government representatives have written letters to the Center complaining that they are artificially inducing a scarcity by reducing the supply of DAP to cooperative organisations and diverting it to RBKs. Although the national government has authorised 225,000 tonnes of DAP, Lokesh claimed in the letter that an artificial shortage has been created by state government ineffectiveness and illicit marketing. According to TDP MLC, the YSRCP government diverted fertilisers intended for distribution through cooperative societies to Rythu Bharosa Kendras. In order to stop black selling in AP, Lokesh requested the Center to enhance the supply of DAP on a war footing.
