From Saturday on, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has been having meetings at Pragathi Bhavan with National Farmers Union leaders from 29 states about the state of the nation's agriculture as well as the steps taken by the Telangana Government to develop the irrigation, agricultural, and power sectors. The Telangana Chief Minister KCR reiterated the necessity for the farming community to enter Parliament and contribute to the creation of the Acts on Sunday as well. He said that agricultural leaders should enter politics and predicted that protests launched away from constitutional platforms would fail. KCR attacked the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre while speaking to top farmer leaders from several states and union territories. He asserted that the Modi administration is not defending the interests of farmers.
