Rahul Gandhi, a prominent member of the Congress, took aim at the Narendra Modi-led administration on Monday in response to the GST rate revisions announced by the Centre in an effort to boost revenues, blaming it of ruining the country with the fastest-growing economy in the world. The Congress MP, while referring to GST as 'Gabbar Singh Tax' stated: "HIGH taxes, NO jobs" in a tweet that included a list of goods that will become more expensive as a result of the rate increase. One of the world's fastest rising economies had once been destroyed by the BJP's masterclass in economic destruction. Shashi Tharoor, a prominent member of the Congress, has also criticised the action, calling it 'breathtakingly reckless.'
