West Godavari, July 4: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil statue of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at ASR Nagar in Bhimavaram on Monday, water stagnated at inauguration venue, public meeting arena and parking area with downpour from Sunday night. Officials have taken measures to drain water so that it becomes convenient for people to participate in the public meeting. Along with PM, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Union Minister Kishan Reddy will address the meeting. Already, the PM landed at Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada and would leave to Bhimavaram in a chopper.
