The parents of renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was fatally shot in the state's Mansa district by unidentified gunmen, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Chandigarh airport on Saturday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with the singer's parents a day after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited their home, vowing that his killers will be apprehended shortly. Previously, Sidhu Moosewala's family had written to Amit Shah, requesting that central agencies investigate the Punjabi singer's death. According to sources, the State government's request for an investigation by a sitting high court judge was denied.
