The Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and Member of Parliament (MP) Rahul Gandhi have been called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the National Herald case. The two leaders have been summoned for interrogation in the money laundering case by the investigative agency on June 8th. Informing media about the summons order, Congress leader and senior counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that a money laundering case had been resolved in 2015. We shall confront this instance of vengeance, pettiness, fear, and political cheapness. We are not afraid, he stated. Singhvi stated that while Sonia Gandhi will attend for questioning if necessary, the party will write to the investigative agency requesting time for Rahul Gandhi, who is currently abroad.
