Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao, who arrived in Delhi on a special flight on Friday for the first part of his tour of other states until May 30, has begun to play an important role in national politics. According to sources, Telangana Chief Minister will meet with regional party leaders to discuss nominating a joint Opposition candidate against the NDA in the Presidential election. As part of it, CM KCR has been meeting with political leaders from other parties, including economists, that can provide updates on the country's economy. CM KCR will also meet with journalists from national news outlets. According to sources, the CM would visit Chandigarh on May 22 to award Rs 3 lakh in ex gratia to the relatives of the 600 farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi who died during the long-running agitation against the Centre's now-withdrawn farm rules.
