Vijayawada: Firebrand politician, Andhra Pradesh Minister of Tourism, RK Roja visited Kanaka Durga Devi temple in Vijayawada and offered special rituals to the presiding deity. Temple priests welcomed her and performed special poojas to the Goddess Durga Devi. Later, they blessed the minister and offered prasadam to her. People wished RK Roja after she took charge as the new Tourism minister. It is known that Roja secured a berth in the revamped AP Cabinet and YS Jagan allotted her Tourism, Culture and Youth Advancement ministry. After taking charge as Tourism minister, Roja signed on the Gandikota-Bangalore tourist bus service file.
