After a two-decade hiatus, the Parliament witnessed MPs from the upper house enthralling their colleagues at a dinner held by Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu for 72 retiring members. At a cultural evening to honour retiring Rajya Sabha members, parliamentarians demonstrated their talent by singing movie and patriotic songs and playing the guitar and other musical instruments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the occasion and snapped selfies and photos with the retiring MPs. On the event, Union Ministers and Opposition Party Leaders were present. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Harivansh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, House Leader Piyush Goyal, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP president J P Nadda, and several other union ministers were there in the event.
