K.T. Rama Rao, Hon'ble Minister for IT and MA&UD has delivered key note during the core session on Enhancing capability-states gearing up in the CRISIL India Infrastructure Conclave 2019- The 'Central' role of states in India's Infrastructure build -out held in Leela Palace, New Delhi.

He has presented the youngest State challenges and successful governance from the past 5years. The policies adopted by the state are tailor- made in accordance with the citizens expectations and requirements. There was a balanced approach towards building infrastructure of the state and also financial discipline. 

Further he has presented on the policies adopted by the state in employment generation, infrastructure development and mobiling investments in social infrastructure. He has mentioned the important 3 I 's that the state should focus on, which are Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusion. 

He said that the basic infrastructure is made flagship by the state government. The state government has invested RS.45000crs in providing safe drinking water to all households by construction of 50 new water treatment plant a, 19 new intake Wells, 19000 service tanks and by constructing 1.05lakh KMs of water pipe lines. The infrastructure created under Mission Bhagiratha is 4 times more than that has been created since independence. 

He said that 26 ongoing irrigation schemes in the state to create , irrigation ayacut of 6880161.The state is also proud to have a Kaleshwaram lift Irrigation project which is the major Infrastructure that was built in the state.  The state government has Strengthened road network in the last 5years with more than 7000 KMs. Another major Infrastructure which is the need of the hour is done by the Telangana is the dignity housing where a total of 2.83 lakhs housing is taken up of which 1.67lakhs are in urban areas. 

The state government has determined towards upgrading it's infrastructure, a classic case is metro connectivity facilitating 3lakhs commuters daily. The comprehensive Road Maintenance Project (CRMP) in which includes 1000kms handed over to private operators to maintain for next 5years.

He said that the new industrial policy TS IPASS has created a friendly and robust eco-system which provided employment to a close about million people. The state has planned and concentrated to overcome the power shortage of 2700MW in 2014. In a short span of 5 years the state governance has added 8650MW of contracted capacity and have added 3640MW of solar energy. Today the state is self sufficient and supplying free power to all the farmers in the state. 

Later on the Hon'ble Minister has participated in the panel discussion on Enhancing state capability.
