"I am deeply shocked over the death of 16 migrant workers in a goods train accident near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families on behalf of me and Janasena. I appeal to State and Central governments to provide financial help to these families and the injured must be given the best medical care. It is so painful that all these workers migrated to Maharashtra from Madhya Pradesh for eking out a living. It is learned that these workers are on the way to their native places by trekking with clamping of lockdown and slept on the railway track. The Centre is running Sramik trains to ferry the migrant workers to their native states. The tragedy indicates that the States might have acted more meticulously and cautiously in shifting the workers, coordinating with the available services, and giving the same information to the workers." Pawan Kalyan said in a statement.
