NATS Leaders In Telugu States: Steps Up Services
NATS Chairman Kishore Kancherla and President Raj Allada, along with New Jersey Chapter Coordinator Sai Gangula, visited the “Hrudayalayam” Special School and Rehabilitation Centre in Nidadavolu on September 20 and inaugurated its first-floor Vocational Training Centre. The facility, established by Hope4Spandana with NRI support, was inaugurated on August 27, 2026. NATS contributed $10,000 towards the new building.
During the visit, Kishore Kancherla and Raj Allada interacted with specially abled children and reviewed the rehabilitation, bridge course and physiotherapy services being provided. The delegation also distributed sweets and inspected the facility. NATS representatives highlighted the importance of extending support to persons with disabilities, including those in remote and tribal areas.
As part of its livelihood initiatives, NATS provided Rs 1.30 lakh each for two grocery shops allocated to persons with disabilities; Gopi (Shop No. 162) at Torredu and Devadasu Chinababu (Shop No. 161) at Venkatanagar. Kishore Kancherla, Raj Allada and Sai Gangula formally inaugurated both shops.
NATS is also supporting Hope4Spandana’s monthly medical-kit programme for spinal-injury survivors confined to beds or wheelchairs. In Hyderabad, Raj Allada reviewed the kits containing 13 essential items, including urinal bags, diapers, catheters, cotton rolls, Betadine, Dettol and gloves. NATS has also extended support for permanent shelters at Ashraya Anadha Ashram, Anantapur, and Matru Devo Bhava Anadha Ashram, Nadergul, Hyderabad.
The initiatives are being coordinated by Hope4Spandana Andhra-Telangana Coordinator Dr. Raghu Arikapudi. Dr. Ganesh Babu, Founder of Hrudayalayam, Organizer Dr. Balagam Visalakshmi, and Dayyala Mahesh participated in the social service activities held in Nidadavolu and Rajahmundry.
