CS Somesh Kumar visits King Koti hospital, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar IAS visited district hospital, King Koti today and took stock of the arrangements made for the 3rd phase vaccination roll out programme. Persons above 60 years and those with 45 years plus and having comorbidities are eligible for vaccination.  He enquired with the doctors about the measures taken for the smooth roll out of the programme.  The patients thanked the Chief Secretary for the arrangements made by the government.

Later talking to media persons Chief Secretary said that the 3rd phase vaccination programme is  going on smoothly in 48 government and 44 private institutions across the state.  He advised the people to register themselves through the app.  The government would increase the number of centres for vaccination in the days to come.  The vaccine is safe and tested  by the doctors and scientists, he said.

P.Sanjiv Rao, Harbajan Singh Bagga and  P.Vijaya Laxmi and others were vaccinated today.

Secretary Health and Family Welfare S.A.M. Rizvi, District Collector Sweta Mohanty, Dr.G.Rajendranadh, Superintendent King Koti Hospital, Dr.J.Venkati, DM & HO, Hyderabad and other officials were present.
Sandalwood Farmers met Somesh Kumar at BRKR Bhavan:
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, IAS, assured that the government will extend necessary support and promote cultivation of Srigandham in the state and will look into the issues raised by the farmers.  The farmers met Chief Secretary today a BRKR Bhavan.  They requested to accord permission for export of Srigandham sandal wood, dealerships and license for selling of sandal wood products. They also requested for providing protective measures from sandalwood smugglers. The Chief Secretary assured that matter will be brought to the notice of Chief Minister.

The Chief Secretary congratulated the farmers K. Ravinder Reddy and P.Estarapu Reddy of Nalgonda District on Srigandham  plantation in their farm fields.  The farmers informed that they made a profit of Rs. 36 lakhs in a span of 15 years.

Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary Municipal Administration, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Secretary, PR&RD, Venkatram Reddy, Director, Horticulture and other officials were present.
