Hyderabad: Former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has officially resigned from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (Bharat). He expressed his gratitude to those who supported him during his time with the party. Meanwhile, sources indicate that along with Tummala, former BJP MLA Yannam Srinivasa Reddy, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy, and others are set to join the Congress in the presence of Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge, who is attending the CWC meeting today. According to Congress insiders, there is a possibility of these leaders contesting from the Khammam assembly constituency. Ponguleti, who previously applied for the Paleru ticket represented by Tummala, is also a contender. The party is working on an arrangement to reconcile these positions. Telangana movement leader Jitta Balakrishna Reddy has announced that Tummala will formally join the Congress under the leadership of MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday.
