Vijayawada: A bomb threat call from an individual caused a disturbance at Vijayawada International Airport on Monday night. According to the police, a local organization's office received a phone call at 10 pm, reporting the presence of a bomb on the Air India flight from Vijayawada to Delhi. Quick-thinking airline staff promptly alerted the authorities. The flight, which was already delayed, was halted at 10:15 pm for security reasons. Subsequently, a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft and passengers was conducted, and it was confirmed that no explosive device was present. The flight was allowed to proceed to Delhi, departing at 12:03 hrs. The police traced the threatening phone call to Tanuku in West Godavari district and identified the caller as Muppala Rangaraman. Rangaraman, who is grappling with mental health issues, was taken into custody by law enforcement officers. His son, Muppala Shanmukhaeshwar Subhash, was also detained in connection with the incident. Authorities revealed that Rangaraman had been suffering from severe
