Tamil Nadu: A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday at Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu, as a fire engulfed a passenger train coach, resulting in the loss of seven lives and leaving 20 others severely injured. The ill-fated train was identified as the Lucknow-Rameswaram Express, with all seven victims being residents of Uttar Pradesh. The affected coach accommodated a total of 55 passengers. The incident was attributed to a substantial explosion in the pantry car. Firefighters from Madurai promptly responded to the scene, successfully extinguishing the flames.
