Temple staff were left in disbelief after discovering a cheque for 100 crores in the Simhachalam Appanna Swamy temple's donation box, an occurrence never before seen in the temple's long history. This unexpected discovery prompted them to contact their superiors and trace the origin of the generous offering. The cheque was traced back to Boddepalli Radhakrishna's savings account from the MVP Double Road Branch. Initial examination revealed that the check initially had 10 rupees written on it, which was later changed to 100 crores, raising suspicions among temple officials. One among the temple officials have narrated the development story. Media representatives quickly investigated the bank account and were in for another surprise: the account held only 17 rupees. This baffling turn of events has led many to question whether the donation was a prank or the result of an individual's lapse in judgment.
