On Wednesday, the Supreme Court put a pause on the duties of Judge Jayakumar from Nampally. Why? He had recently told the police to take action against a Minister and 10 other top officers. They were accused of messing with an official paper linked to the Minister. In 2018, Minister Srinivas Goud gave an official paper (affidavit) when he wanted to run in the elections. But later, there were claims that he secretly changed this paper with the help of election officers. This could be seen as breaking the rules. Raghavendra Raju from Mahbubnagar saw this issue and brought it to the Telangana People’s Representatives Court. Judge Jayakumar listened to everyone and told the police to make a report against the Minister. The police didn't do it at first, but after the judge showed frustration, the police finally made a report last Friday against the Minister and some other important officers.
